Midvaal Municipality Assistant Town Planner Qualifications:-

  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Geographic Information Science, Town Planning or equivalent. – Valid driver’s license – Computer Literate. – Experience with ArcGIS software is beneficial. – Experience in the surveying and architectural/building fields will be an added advantage. – Knowledge and understanding of Building Control & Land Use policies, regulations and procedures. – Knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation pertaining Local Government. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) – Skills and Competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office skills, strong administrative skills, writing and typing skills, attention to detail, Report writing skills. -Three to Five (3 – 5) years’ relevant experience in GIS. Experience in GIS within Local Government Authority will be an advantage
